Usually the end of a calendar year is one for reflection, and hope for the new year. So here we go. My t-shirt business is down roughly 15% for the year which means a pay cut for me the owner. The fine arts part of my business however is only down about 2 or 3 per cent which includes sales, awards and teaching revenue. What I hope for in the next year are more opportunities to exhibit my work, especially outside of Pittsburgh, although opportunities to exhibit and sell art are important wherever they occur.
Coming up in January will be my show of recent etchings at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. I'll be framing for that show next week although a lot of work is already framed for that show.
Meanwhile, Altered States is still going strong at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and my work is also on display at the Art Loft in Mt. Lebanon, Gallerie Chiz in Shadyside and at the Pittsburgh Center for the Shop
